1952 Omega Seamaster Calendar 2627-8-SC Automatic Wristwatch
£2,200.00
The Omega Seamaster Calendar 2627 was the first Omega watch featuring a date, and this example dating to 1952 was one of the earliest on this reference. Its striking cream dial, polished gold hands and hour markers, and framed date window at 6 o’clock with ‘Seamaster’ and ‘Calendar’ above it are all signature features of this 1950’s watch.
The beautifully polished stainless steel case is in wonderful condition and the long, chamfered lugs give the watch a superbly elegant feel.
Inside this Omega Seamaster Calendar 2627 beats the Omega Calibre 355 movement, an early (bumper) automatic movement with sweeping seconds hand. The movement has been fully serviced and the watch comes presented on a vintage style brown leather strap with cream stitch and finished with a steel Omega pin buckle.
A chance to own a little piece of history with this historically significant Omega wristwatch, which looks just as good today as it did nearly 75 years ago!
Dial colour: Cream dial with outer minute track and faceted gold polished hour indices with matching dauphine hands. Date window located at the 6’o’clock position. Dial signed Omega Automatic Seamaster Calendar, and ‘Swiss Made’ at 6 o’clock.
