1945 Timor ‘Dirty Dozen’ W.W.W. British Military Watch

£2,200.00

A rare and collectible Timor W.W.W. British Military Watch, which has undergone a full service and restoration by our watchmaker.  Timor was one of 12 ‘Dirty Dozen’ watch manufacturers commissioned by the British Ministry of Defence (MOD) to produce custom built wristwatches for soldiers fighting in WWII of which there were an estimated 13,000 produced by Timor at that time.  The Dirty Dozen are easily identifiable by their engraving ‘W.W.W.’ which stands for ‘Watch, Wrist, Waterproof’ and also the broad arrowhead on the dial and caseback which is a signature for British Government issued goods.

The generous 36.5mm brushed stainless steel case is in amazing condition with the engraving on the case back clear and sharp. The dial and hands are in superb condition and the dial has been professionally re-lumed in keeping with the age of the watch.

Connect with an important part of our history with this handsome watch on your wrist, which we have teamed with the selection of NATO style straps pictured and one of our Olive Green Clam travel cases – the perfect companions for this very special watch!
